DETROIT, June 22 (Our Michigan Times) — Chevrolet has unveiled the next-generation 2027 Silverado 1500, calling it the “most powerful Silverado ever” and saying the pickup will go on sale later this year in the United States.

In a June 16 newsroom release, Chevrolet said the truck will add new 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V8 engines while keeping four powertrain choices overall. The lineup also includes the enhanced 2.7-liter TurboMax and the class-exclusive Duramax 3.0-liter Turbo-Diesel, according to the company.

Chevrolet said the 2027 Silverado 1500 now offers the “most powerful naturally aspirated V8 engine in its class,” but the automaker did not release horsepower or torque figures in the announcement.

Inside, Chevrolet said every Silverado 1500 will come with a 16.3-inch center display and a 12.2-inch driver information center as standard equipment. ZR2 and High Country models add an 11.5-inch front passenger screen, along with a head-up display and rear camera mirror.

The company said seven models will be offered: ZR2, High Country, Trail Boss, Silverado, Custom Trail Boss, Custom and WT. Chevrolet said pricing will be announced later this year.
