VICTORVILLE, Calif., July 17 (High Desert News Online) — Costco food courts in several California cities have started selling chicken strips for $6.99, with the new item replacing the combo calzone at some stores.

Workers at warehouses in Alhambra, Los Feliz and Bakersfield’s Rosedale Highway said the item first appeared on July 11. A Santa Rosa worker said it arrived July 6, and a Concord worker said it had been available for a few days by July 15.

A Victorville warehouse at 14555 Valley Center Drive also added the dish. Menu signs at the stores list five chicken strips with dipping sauce.

The signs cited at the locations put the order at 1,130 to 1,640 calories, depending on the warehouse.
