Global Triton 5K: San Francisco Club, April 8

Date: April 08, 2018

Time: 10:00 am

The San Francisco Alumni Club is proud to host Global Triton 5K run in San Francisco! Our run will take us across our iconic landmark, Golden Gate Bridge! Starting from Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center we will run, jog and walk to North Vista Point and back. The course is approximately 1.9 miles one direction or 4 miles round trip.

This is an event for the whole family and can be done at your pace, so please don’t feel pressured to run through the whole way. Registered participants will receive a Triton 5K T-shirt and other fun swag. Water and snacks will be provided.

To take part in this fun regional mirror of the campus Triton 5k, participants 12 and older are asked to pay a small $15 registration fee. This fee, just like the one for the campus Triton 5k, goes to support student scholarships!

About the Triton 5k Since its founding in 1996 by former UC San Diego Chancellor Robert C. Dynes, the Triton 5K (formerly the Chancellor’s Challenge 5K Run/Walk for Scholars) has raised more than $3.8 million in undergraduate scholarship support, benefiting more than 1,000 motivated and ambitious students. Now in its 22nd year, the Triton 5K continues to expand scholarships, ensuring that learning is accessible and affordable for all.

Enhancing the student experience is a key priority of the Campaign for UC San Diego, our comprehensive fundraising effort to empower the next generation of innovators to blaze a new path toward revolutionary ideas, unexpected answers, lifesaving discoveries and planet-changing impact. Together, we are inspiring and creating the next generation of artists, entrepreneurs, researchers, policy makers, scholars, engineers and healers. Run, walk or stroll in support of tomorrow’s changemakers; you’ll impact lives here-and across the globe.
